DESCRIPTION:  Qualification badge for Luftwaffe paratroopers. This one is unmarked, the eagle is made of cupal (aluminum sheathed in thin copper), so it has taken and held its gilt finish very well indeed. You can clearly see where the thin sheathing could not stretch enough to cover the edges because of the high relief of the eagle. Wreath is zinc. No magnetic parts. A very nice badge in exceptional condition.
